Terms and Conditions
1. The Promoter
1.1 This competition is run by Greener Homes —a trading name of Green Rose Sustainability Community Interest Company, company number12343939, and registered address, 38 Seaborn Road, Morecambe, England, LA4 6BB (“the Promoter”).
2. Eligibility
2.1 To qualify to enter the competition you must be a resident of Lancashire, UK and aged 18 or over, except employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, its agents, or anyone professionally connected with the competition. . All competition correspondence will be sent to the address given.
2.2 The prize is intended for the entrant’s own residential property. Entrants must confirm they are a homeowner, or have their landlord’s permission to have the equipment installed, if selected as the winner.
2.3 By entering, you confirm you meet all eligibility requirements. The Promoter reserves the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any entrant who does not meet these requirements.
3. How to enter
3.1 Entry is free. No purchase is necessary.
3.2 Entries can be made via any one of the following routes:
(a)Social media: liking the designated giveaway post on the Greener Homes Facebook or Instagram page, following the Greener Homes page, and tagging one friend in the comments of the giveaway post. Each friend tagged is counted as one entry;
(b) Website: signing up to the Greener Homes newsletter via Newsletter Signup – Greener Homes and ticking the box to confirm entry into the competition;
(c) Telephone: calling the Greener Homes Advice Team on 03306 061 488 (charged at standard network rate; free from most mobiles and landlines as part of inclusive minutes), receiving advice about low carbon home energy and then requesting entry into the competition during the call.
3.3 You can enter via multiple routes. Each eligible person can only enter by phone once and by signing up to the newsletter once, however multiple entries on social media will count, with each friend tagged on the competition post counting as an entry, so long as the other social media requirements are met.
3.4 Entries must be received between 23 July and 1 September 2026 at 23:59 (BST). Entries received after this time will not be counted.
3.5 The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, or not received for any reason, including technical failure, incomplete signup forms, or missed calls.
3.6 Entrants who sign up to the newsletter to enter will continue to receive marketing communications from Greener Homes unless and until they unsubscribe. Entering via the newsletter route requires consent to marketing communications in line with our Privacy Policy; entrants may enter via an alternative route (social media or phone) if they do not wish to sign up to marketing emails.
4. The prize
4.1 One winner will receive one plug-in solar and battery package with a total retail value of approximately £1,300. The reasonable costs ofinstallation where required are also included.
4.2 The prize is subject to the winner’s property being suitable for installation and subject to final UK Government guidance on wiring regulations, expected to take effect from 27th August 2026. If the winner’s property is unsuitable, or if the relevant regulatory changes have not taken effect or differ from what is currently anticipated, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value, or to offer an alternative low-carbon energy prize or product of comparable value, at its sole discretion.
4.3 Product images used in promotional material are for illustrative purposes only. The actual prize supplied may differ in appearance, brand, or specification from that pictured.
4.4 The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
4.5 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equivalent value if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary to do so.
5. Winner selection and notification
5.1 The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received across all entry routes, by random number generator, within 7 days of the closing date.
5.2 The winner will be notified by direct message on the platform they entered via, email, or phone call using the contact details provided at entry, within 7 days of the draw.
5.3 The winner must respond and provide any information reasonably requested (such as proof of eligibility and address for installation) within 14 days of being notified. If the winner does not respond within this time, or does not meet the eligibility criteria, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the remaining valid entries.
5.4 The winner’s name and county (or general location) may be published on the Greener Homes website and/or social media pages following the draw, in accordance with standard prize draw practice. Entrants who do not wish for this information to be published should make this clear when notified as the winner.
6. Installation
6.1 Installation (where required) will be arranged by the Promoter or its nominated installer at a mutually convenient time, subject to the final eligibility checks described in clause 4.2.
6.2 The winner is responsible for ensuring reasonable access to the property and for any structural or electrical issues unrelated to the prize itself that may affect installation.
7. Limitation of liability
7.1 Except for death or personal injury caused by the Promoter’s negligence, or any other liability which cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from entry into the competition or acceptance/use of the prize.
7.2 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, or suspend the competition, or these terms and conditions, at any time without prior notice, where circumstances outside its control make this necessary (including, but not limited to, changes to the anticipated UK Government guidance referenced above).
8. Data protection
8.1 Personal data collected as part of this competition will be used by the Promoter to administer the competition, contact entrants regarding the outcome, and (where consent is given, such as via the newsletter entry route) send marketing communications.
8.2 Entrant data will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at https://greenerhomes.org.uk/privacy-notice, and applicable UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
8.3 Entrants may withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time by unsubscribing or contacting info@greenrose.org.uk.
9. Social media
9.1 This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram (Meta Platforms, Inc.). By entering via social media, you understand you are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Meta. Any questions, comments, or complaints must be directed to the Promoter, not to Meta.
9.2 Entrants must comply with Facebook’s and Instagram’s respective terms of use when entering via these platforms.
10. General
10.1 The Promoter’s decision on all matters relating to the competition, including the selection of the winner, is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
10.2 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10.3 By entering, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
